The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has on Monday assured the Labour Party’s Legal Team that the commission will provide all the documents it requested for to prosecute its case.

Prof. Yakubu was speaking during a meeting at the INEC HQ, when the Labour Party’s Legal Team visited INEC to discuss modalities for obtaining the documents.
He said: “INEC has nothing to hide. Documents available at the HQ will be given immediately. We are meeting Resident Electoral Commissioners today and we will discuss how other documents at the state level could also be made available to you speedily.”
The Labour Party had on Saturday March 11, issued a notice to INEC that it we will not fail to call its supporter to march to INEC offices nationwide in a non violent protest allowed by law, with the aim of curtailing the flagrant disobedience to court orders by the electoral umpire.
