In a market bulletin, signed by Godstime Iwenekhai, Head, Listings Regulation Department, the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) notified dealing members that additional 2,032,500,000 ordinary shares of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc (NSE ticker – CHIPLC) have been listed on the Exchange.
The additional shares which were listed on Thursday, 20 August 2020 on the Daily Official List of NSE, arose from the company’s rights issue of 2,032,500,000 ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at 52 Kobo per share on the basis of 1 new ordinary shares for every 4 ordinary shares held as at 3 February 2020.
The rights issue was 100% subscribed, according to the bulletin.
The listing of the additional 2,032,500,000 ordinary shares has increased the total issued and fully paid up shares of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc to 10,704,500,000 ordinary shares of 50 kobo each, from 8,672,000,000.

CHIPLC is into the business of general and special risks insurance. The company was incorporated on 2nd August 1991 and listed on NSE on 22nd February 2008.
On Thursday, the share price rose by 5.71% to N0.37 per share. YTD the share price is down by 5.13%, while in one month it has lost 17.78% of its value.
