Five political parties have collapsed their structures into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and subsequently threw their weight behind the PDP presidential flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.
The decision to collapse their structures was disclosed by the parties at the grand finale rally of the PDP in Adamawa State, Atiku’s home state.

These parties are;
- Allied Peoples Movement (APM), whose presidential candidate is Ojei Princess Chichi
- Action Alliance (AA), whose presidential candidate is Al-Mustapha Hamza
- Action Peoples Party (APP), whose presidential candidate is Nnamdi Charles Osita
- National Rescue Movement (NRM), whose presidential candidate is Osakwe Felix Johnson
- African Democratic Congress (ADC), whose presidential candidate is Kachikwu Dumebi
Speaking on behalf of the other national chairmen of the political parties, the National Chairman of the APM, Yusuf Dantele said the parties arrived at the decision to adopt the PDP presidential candidate because he is the right mad for the job.
The parties, according to him will participate in the governorship, national and state assemblies elections.
The rally was held at the Ribadud Square in Jimeta-Yola, and had six governors of the PDP in attendance; Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.
