Africa Prudential Plc (NGX: AFRIPRUD) has declared a 45 kobo dividend per ordinary share of 50 kobo each for the 2023 financial year ended 31st December, 2023.
The dividend declaration which is subject to the appropriate withholding tax and approval of shareholders at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting was stated in a corporate action announcement by the company.

The 45 kobo dividend is a 5 kobo drop from the 50 kobo dividend declared and paid for the 2022 financial year. The qualification date for the dividend has been set at March 15, 2024.
Africa Prudential Plc share price at the has gained 9.33% today trading, 8.25 per share. The dividend yield therefore stands at 5.45%, without the deduction of withholding tax and buy charges.
On March 28, 2024 the cash dividends worth N900 million will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at close of business on June 6, 202March 15, 2024, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Form – Africa Prudential, which is also available on www.africaprudential.com, complete and submit to the Registrar or their respective Banks.
Shareholders with whose dividends have remained unclaimed or are yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation are advised to complete the e-dividend registration form.
AFRIPRUD reported a drop in gross earnings to N3.95 billion from N4.13 billion reported in 2022. Its profit after tax also dropped to N962.91 million in 2023 from N1.49 billion in 2022. The proposed dividend is 93.47% of its profit for the year.
