Africa Prudential Plc (NGX: AFRIPRUD) has proposed a final dividend of 40 kobo per 50 kobo ordinary share for the financial year ended December 31, 2025.
Combined with the 10 kobo interim dividend already paid at half-year, this brings the total dividend for 2025 to 50 kobo per ordinary share.
The final dividend, subject to withholding tax, will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the register as at the close of business on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
Payment will be made electronically on April 2nd, 2026, to shareholders who have completed e-dividend registration.
The dividend announcement accompanies the release of the company’s full 2025 Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements, which reflect strong growth and operational resilience amid a challenging macroeconomic environment.
Key financial breakdown
Gross earnings rose 38.3% to ₦7.19 billion (2024: ₦5.20 billion)
Profit before tax surged 51.5% to ₦4.26 billion (2024: ₦2.81 billion)
Profit after tax increased 50.1% to ₦2.72 billion (2024: ₦1.81 billion)
The impressive performance was driven largely by a 45% jump in interest income to ₦5.99 billion, reflecting higher yields on term deposits.
Total assets grew 19% to ₦41.91 billion, while shareholders’ equity rose 17% to ₦12.54 billion after dividend payments and tax provisions.
The Management highlighted a continued focus on core registrar services, technology-driven innovation, and prudent cost management as key drivers of the strong results.
The 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, April 2, 2026, the same day as the dividend.
