Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie’s first son, Kambilichukwu Edochie has died two months after his 16th birthday, Vanguard reported.
Yul had on January 4 celebrated Kambilichukwu’s birthday via his verified Instagram handle, saying, “A very happy 16th birthday to my first son, Kambilinachukwu Leo Yul-Edochie. May God lead and protect you always. With many more happy years. Daddy loves you.”
A family member who confirmed his death told Vanguard that he collapsed while playing football with his friends after his exams on Wednesday.
“After his exam in school, he joined his mates to play football and that’s when he developed a seizure and was rushed to Mother and Child Hospital,” according to the report.
“All efforts by the doctors to resuscitate him proved abortive,” the report added.
