Transcorp Power Plc (NGX: TRANSPOWER), a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group), has announced strong unaudited financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2025, posting significant growth across key performance indicators.
The company’s revenue rose by 38% year-on-year to ₦308.5 billion, compared to ₦223.5 billion in Q3 2024.
This robust performance was attributed to increased average power generation, driven by sustained investment in capacity expansion and operational efficiency.
Gross profit climbed to ₦119.7 billion from ₦96.5 billion in the same period last year — a 24% increase, representing a gross margin of 38.8%.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) surged to ₦91.18 billion, up from ₦81.12 billion in Q3 2024, marking a 12.4% growth.
Meanwhile, Profit After Tax (PAT) rose to ₦68.42 billion, a 17% increase from ₦58.4 billion recorded in the previous year.
Chairman of Transcorp Power Plc, Emmanuel Nnorom, said the company’s consistent performance highlights its resilience and capacity to sustain profitability amid economic challenges.
“Our performance in the third quarter demonstrates Transcorp Power’s resilience and capacity to sustain profitability, despite economic challenges. This sustained performance will further strengthen investor confidence in our ability to create shared value and maintain our growth trajectory,” he stated.
Managing Director/CEO, Peter Ikenga, noted that the results reflect the company’s strategic focus on operational excellence and value creation.
“The Q3 2025 results are underpinned by further growth in energy delivered to the grid. These results illustrate our continuous drive to improve operations, eliminate waste, and harness value. We are confident of finishing the year strong,” Ikenga said.
