Seplat Energy Plc (NGX: SEPLAT) has announced an increase in its share capital and subsequent listing of new shares on the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the London Stock Exchange Plc.

The new shares totaling 11,500,000 ordinary shares of 50 kobo each will be allotted to Stanbic IBTC Trustees Limited to be utilized for the shares under the Company’s Employees Long Term Incentive Plan.
According to a regulatory filing singed by Mrs Edith Onwuchekwa, Director Legal/Company Secretary, these actions were approved by shareholders at the Company’s 2025 Annual General Meeting held on 14 May 2025.
Following the shareholders’ approval, the Company obtained the approval of the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) for the share capital increase on 27 May 2025. On 27 June 2025, the Company also received the approval of the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the registration of the newly
issued Ordinary Shares.
Accordingly, the Company today announces that the Ordinary Shares, with effect from 8.00 a.m. on
August 1, 2025:
- will be admitted to the Premium Board of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX)
- will be admitted to the equity shares (international commercial companies secondary listing) segment of the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority and to trading on the main market for listed securities of the London Stock Exchange plc.
Following Admission, the Company’s issued share capital will consist of 599,944,561 Ordinary Shares.
