The Nigerian Army has announced that it will be conducting battle simulation exercise in Abuja starting on Tuesday 24 October.

In a press release on Monday, the NA stated that the exercise will be at 7 Guards Battalion Obstacle Course Lungi Barracks, Maitama Abuja.
In the press release signed by Lt. Colonel Njideka Clara Agwu, Ag Deputy Director Army Public Relations, it was stated that the exercise will happen from Tuesday 24 October to Wednesday 25 October 2023.
The exercise it went further to say is part of activities scheduled for the Inter Formation Combat Platoon Obstacle Crossing Competition 2023.
The Army consequently called on members of the general public who reside r=around Maitama, Asokoro, AYA and the environs not to panic but go about their normal businesses as the battle sounds would not raise any security concern.
The Army added that the large battle sounds that would be heard during the exercise are in line with the training exercise.
It assured the public that all necessary safety measures have been put in place.
