Letter to my generation – Authentic Mike

It’s Thursday 2:39am 3rd of September 2020 and I’m consciously writing this letter to my generation.

To my Generation

My names are Micheal Iloduba Chukwuebuka, not necessary though. Before I proceed, I’d like to ask some self-explanatory questions to each and everyone of us reading this letter right now.

  1. What is a Dream? An advanced English dictionary defines Dream to be “A series of mental images and emotions occurring during sleep. But I say “A dream is what keeps your awake when you ought to be sleeping at night”.
  1. Are your Dreams big enough to give you sleepless nights? The truth is, if your Dreams do not scare your or look quite impossible to achieve, then it’s not big enough.

Its breaks my heart to see a lot of young people especially the youth of my generation indulging in illegal activities just to make ends meet. For how long do we continue to rob/dupe people of their hard-earned money?

I’m not disputing the fact that there are lot of systems and infrastructure the government needs to put in place to enable us do business and cater for ourselves. But we can’t continue to use Nigeria’s poor system as an excuse for indulging in illegal activities to make ends meet, whereas there are honest, hardworking Nigerians who have made fortunes from scratch here in Nigeria, the likes of Mrs Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, Miss Linda Ikeji, Mr Ubong king, Mr Emeka Okonkwo, Mr Akin Alabi, to mention a few, kindly find time to read about them.

The ups and downs of life has little or no tolerance for your convenience, religion, ethnicity, gender or even race in the institution of success in the journey of life. I hear a lot of young people say they don’t know what to do…

But I say, it’s fine if you don’t know what to do because nobody does anyway, but start from where you are with what you have, put in your best, turn deaf ears to criticism because they are definitely going to show up and along the line what you do will definitely shape you to what you want to become or take you to where you really want to be. nothing is worthwhile, unless you take risk” Mr Denzel Washington.

Don’t think I’m already made! It’s Thursday 2:39am 3rd of September 2020 and my current net worth is less than N10,000 (ten thousand naira) funny but I trust I’m wealthy! because, I’m very intentional about my growth in all ramifications of my life. “Intentionality will be your differentiator” Mrs Audrey Joe-Ezigbo.

Let say NO to cyber crimes and illegal activities, we can legitimately build a solid foundation for the next generation. I know there are scanty availability of jobs currently but I advise we rather find purpose than job. purpose is the reason we are still on earth at this time in history, our very existence is wrapped up with the purpose we are here to fulfill. “if you fail to take your life serious NOW, you will be an entertainment tool in the nearest future” Ubong king.

Thanks,
