Former governor of Anambra State Mr. Peter Obi on Monday emerged the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, LP after Prof Pat Utomi stepped down for him.
Pat Utomi said that “Obi must be given the opportunity to govern this country,” while addressing the delegates at the party’s National Convention in Asaba.
I85 delegates were set to vote to elect one of the four contenders in the presidential primaries on Monday.
However, the three other candidates stepped down for Mr. Peter Obi who joined the party less than a week ago after dumping the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
