Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) says Egypt has opened its border to Nigerians fleeing Sudan after days of insisting they would get a visa.
NIDCOM on Monday afternoon, said the border was opened following the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The buses conveying Nigerian fleeing the war in Sudan arrived Egyptian Aswan border on April 28 but were denied entry along with other nationals who also left Sudan in light of the war.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM), on Thursday said “over 7000 nationals, including Nigerians are not being allowed to cross the border into Egypt since their arrival late Thursday evening.”
The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) evacuation team left for Aswan Airport on April 29 to airlift the stranded Nigerians but in a Twitter post early Monday morning NIDCOM said the Egyptian border had not been opened for the students.
