The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the former governor of Anambra State Willie Obiano.
Obiano who has been on the commission’s watch list was arrested at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos Thursday evening, Channels TV reported.
The Ex-governor was reportedly on his way out of the country heading to Houston in the United States following the handover to his successor Governor Charles Soludo.
The EFCC had requested the Nigeria Immigration Service to inform it anytime Willie Obiano is travelling out of the country from any of the international airports, as well as other points of entry and exit, according to the report.
