Four additional commissioners reportedly loyal to the former governor, Nyesom Wike resigned from their roles in Rivers State executive council on Thursday amid the ongoing political crisis in the state.
The resignations come after the state Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Prof Zacchaeus Adangor, stepped down.
The Commissioner for Works, George-Kelly Alabo resigned shortly after Adangor’s resignation. His resignation letter dated December 14, was addressed to the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, through the Secretary to the State Government
Others who resigned are Inime Chinwenwo-Aguma, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation; Emeka Woke, the Commissioner for Special Duties, and Isaac Kamalu, the Commissioner of Finance.
