A plaza located along Kano Street, beside the Main Market, the biggest market in West Africa have been gutted by fire.
Investogist gathered that the fire broke out in the early hours of Monday morning, at around 1am.
Goods worth millions of naira, including sacramentals, wines, babies and women’s hair attachment were destroyed by the inferno.
Confirming the incident, the Chief firefighter in Anambra State, Martin Agbili, said that he promptly deployed his men to the area when he was alerted.
“The fire started around 1 a.m., and I quickly deployed my men there.
“So far, they have gone to refill the fire trucks with water twice, and our men have gone to refill a third time.”
