The Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) says its shared a total of N1.81 trillion among the three tiers of government; Federal Government, States and Local Government Areas as allocation for June 2025.

N1.81 trillion for June is the highest monthly allocation so far this year. In comparison, the amount shared in May was N1.65 trillion while April saw N1.68 trillion. March recorded a distribution of N1.57 trillion, February had N1.67 trillion, and January began the year with N1.70 trillion.
The N1.82 trillion total distributable revenue comprised distributable statutory revenue of N1.01 trillion, value added tax (VAT) revenue of N631.50 billion and electronic money transfer levy (EMTL) revenue of N29.16 billion, exchange difference revenue of N38.84 billion, and a N100 billion augmentation from non-mineral revenue.
Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) announced the figure in a communique issued at the end of FAAC’s July 2025 meeting.
“A communiqué issued by the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) indicated that total gross revenue of N4.232 trillion was available in the month of June 2025,” the statement reads.
“Total deduction for cost of collection was N162.786 billion while total transfers, interventions, refunds and savings was N2.25 trillion.”
A breakdown of the gross revenue components revealed that statutory revenue for June stood at N3.48 trillion, a substantial increase of N1.39 trillion compared to the N2.09 trillion received in May. Conversely, gross VAT revenue dropped from N742.82 billion in May to N678.16 billion in June, representing a decline of N64.65 billion.
From the N1.81 trillion distributable revenue, the Federal Government received N645.38 billion, States got N607.41 billion, while the Local Governments got N444.85 billion.
Additionally, N120.75 billion was distributed to oil-producing states as 13 percent derivation revenue from mineral sources.
“From the N631.50 billion distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue, the Federal Government received N94.72 billion, the State Governments received N315.75 billion and the Local Government Councils received N221.02 billion.
“A total sum of N4.37 billion was received by the Federal Government from the N29.16 billion Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).
“The State Governments received N14.58 billion and the Local Government Councils received N10.20 billion.”
On the exchange difference revenue of N38.8 billion, the federal government received N19.14 billion, while states and local governments got N9.71 billion and N7.48 billion, respectively, while N2.50 billion was shared as 13 percent derivation revenue.
In the communiqué, FAAC said that from the N100 billion augmentation, the federal government received N52.68 billion, states received N26.72 billion, and local governments got N20.60 billion.
In June, while revenue from Companies Income Tax (CIT), Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), and EMTL increased significantly. collections from oil and gas royalties, VAT, import duty, excise duty, and common external tariff (CET) levies recorded a considerable decline.
