Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has launched the Arise Youth Employment Portal virtually on the 21st of October 2024 from the State Executive Council Chambers.
The event was attended by top government officials and select stakeholders, with citizens also able to witness the launch online.
The portal serves as the official online platform for unemployed and underemployed youths in Akwa Ibom State, allowing them to register for access to employment opportunities and training support from both the Akwa Ibom State Government (AKSG) and the Organized Private Sector (OPS).
The portal can be accessed at: https://employment.akwaibomstate.gov.ng. It acts as a resource where the government and private sector can find skilled youths for targeted employment in both civil service and private sector roles.
Applicants can create a personal account on the portal, providing basic information such as their name, passport photograph, phone number, email address, National Identification Number (NIN), Voter Identification Number (VIN), as well as their educational qualifications and relevant academic information.
This will enable prospective employers to assess and verify the applicants’ eligibility. The portal is exclusively open to indigenes of Akwa Ibom State who are currently unemployed or seeking employment.
It will serve as the official platform for recruitment into the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service, the 5,000 youth empowerment program across the 31 Local Government Areas with a monthly stipend of N50,000, the Dakkada Skill Acquisition Training Programs, and recruitment into the Ibom Community.
