The Board of Directors of Africa Prudential Plc (NGX: AFRIPRUD) has approved the company’s Audited Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2021.
They also approved the payment of dividend to shareholders, subject to approval at the Annual General Meeting.
The information on the approvals was contained in a post board meeting notification signed by Joseph Jibunoh, the Company Secretary.
The Board of Directors had met on Monday February 21, 2022, to consider the Audited Financial Statements.
In its Financial Statements for the 9 month period ended 30th September 2021, AFRIPRUD reported a Profit After Tax of N1.15 billion and an Earnings Per Share of 58 kobo.
The reported earnings was lower than the N1.41 billion Profit After Tax and 71 kobo EPS it reported for the 9 months ended 30 Sept, 2020.
AFRIPRUD paid 50 kobo dividend per ordinary share for the 2020 financial year, and unless their earnings improve significantly in the fourth quarter of 2021, we expect the company to declare 50 kobo dividend for the 2021 financial year.
