Seplat Energy gains 120% in one year

The share price of Seplat Energy Plc (NGX: SEPLAT) has increased by 120% in the last one year.

On Wednesday,  SEPLAT topped the gainers table with 10% rise, to close at N2,310.1 per share and a market capitalization of N1.36 trillion.

It is now the sixth most capitalized listed company on the Nigerian Exchange. It sits between BUA Cement Plc (N3.52 trillion) and Guaranty Trust Holding Company  Plc.

In the 9 months ended September 30, 2023, the company grew its revenue to N478.1 billion ($810.4 million) from N258.7 billion ($618.6 million), according to its financial statements.

Profit for the period rose to N46.93 billion from N33.86 billion in 2022.

Seplat Energy paid an interim dividend of $0.03 per share equivalent to N29.9 per share at an exchange rate of N996.75/$1 announced by the company.
