The Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria Catholic Chaplaincy Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has called on his supporters to stop protests as he hands over to his successor and departs to the Monastery.
Mbaka who made the appeal in a video message posted on Adoration Ministry’s official Facebook page on Wednesday, said his departure to the Monastery is in “obedience to my Bishop, His Lordship C.V.C Onaga.”
Investogist reported that the Adoration Ministry, which was shut down for 15 weeks was re-opened on Sunday.
However, in the place of Fr. Mbaka, another clergy of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi, has been posted to take charge of the Adoration Ministry.
Fr. Mbaka, in his farewell message, said in the video: “I wish to use this opportunity to bless and encourage you as I depart to the monastery in obedience to my bishop. I want you to remain calm as written in Psalm 46:10.
“This is a time we shall know the real Adorers. Please, back me with your prayers so that I will go and embark on deeper reflections, sober contemplations and interior waiting on the Lord.
“I wish to assure you as the Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 that God has plans for us, for a future and a hope, not of disaster.
“Remember in that Jeremiah 29:14, He says I will reverse your condition. After He has said in Jeremiah 29: 12 and 13, when you call on me I will answer you, when you search for me you will find me. Please use this opportunity to call on God for the integral wellness and wellbeing of the Adoration Ministry.
“I want to remind you fellow adorers that this is not the time to be sorrowful, to be angry unnecessarily.”
“I heard that some people are about to carry demonstration and protests, please you adorers should help to stop such people.
“I believe that this my journey to the Monastery will bring out something fruitful.”
