The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has increased the price of premium motor spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, across its retail outlets.
NNPC outlets across Lagos sold the product at N998 per litre on Wednesday, from N855 per litre set in September.
Tbe oil firm has not released official statement on the latest increase in petrol prices.
Recall that NNPCL hinted at a fresh price increase in September when it began loading its first batch of petrol from the Dangote Refinery.
At the time, the NNPCL said it got petrol at ₦898 per litre from the Dangote refinery and that it would sell it for ₦950 per litre in Lagos and ₦1,019 in Borno.
The Dangote refinery countered NNPC’s cost of the petrol claim, describing it as “both misleading and mischievous.”
