Zenith Bank Plc to pay ₦1.00 interim dividend for H1 2024

Zenith Bank Plc (NGX: ZENITHBANK) will pay an interim dividend of ₦1.00 for every share of 50 kobo held for the half year financial period ended 30 June, 2024.

The interim dividend which was announcement in a regulatory filing on Saturday will be subject to a withholding tax of 10% in the hands of qualified recipients.

Zenith Bank Plc announced and paid an interim dividend of 50 kobo per share for the same period in 2023.

The Board of Directors proposed the ₦1.00 interim dividend from the retained earnings accounts as at 30 June 2024. This will be presented for ratification by the shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting.

Qualification date for the interim dividend is set for September 13, 2024.

On September 20, 2024, dividend will be paid electronically to Ordinary Shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at September 13, 2024, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.

Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Form, which is available on the Registrar’s website: www.veritasregistrars.com, complete and submit to the Registrar or their respective Banks.

Zenith Bank posted a profit after tax of ₦577.99 billion for the half year period, 100% more than the ₦291.73 billion it posted for the same period in 2023.
