Victor Osimhen demands £500,000 per week salary from Chelsea

Victor Osimhen has demanded a £500,000 ($660,000) per week salary from Chelsea, Daily Mail reported.

This comes as the blues prepare a final transfer push for the Napoli striker ahead of the transfer window closure on 30th August.

If his wish is granted, It would put him above Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, who earns £400,000 ($523,000) per week.

He would also set a new Premier League record as the English top-flight’s highest paid player in history.

Osimhen’s wage demand could be a stumbling block even as Chelsea is ready to make an offer in the region of £85m ($112m).

According to reports however, Chelsea cannot afford to pay the requested amount, as they aim to stay within Premier League financial guidelines.

The contract Osimhen signed in December with Napoli earns him a weekly wage of £253,005.

He has scored 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli.
