Mmesoma Ejikeme, a candidate in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) who has been embroiled in a dispute with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) over her result has stated that she was redirected to another server where she downloaded her “362 score” result.
The 19-year old made the statement when she appeared as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily via telephone with her Father on Wednesday.

She insisted that she visited JAMB portal after the examination earlier this year to obtain her report.
Shedding light on how she got the result, she said, “You have to register on the JAMB portal with your email address and number; I went to [the] JAMB portal. On that JAMB portal, I tried to get my result; they redirected me to another server.
“That’s where I entered my reg number, and when I checked the result, that was what I got there and downloaded it. I didn’t go to any computer centre.”
When asked if she was the only one who printed the same outdated version of result sheet, she said, “I’ve not seen anyone with this kind of copy.”
She went further to provide clarification on whether she printed the results at home, Mmesoma explained, “You know phones now, if you want to check, you have the reg number. That’s the main thing you use in downloading your [results]. It’s not the hard copy that I’m talking of.”
TechCabal published a straightforward way of obtaining 2023 JAMB result slip on May 10, 2023.
- Visit the JAMB website: Once you’re logged on to the website, you’ll see a few options in the menu on the left side. Look for the option that says “Print Result Slip”
- Make payment to print your original JAMB result slip: The next prompt ask you to “continue to payment” which is made using online payment methods.
- Enter your details to print your original JAMB result slip: Once your payment goes through and the payment portal redirects you back to the JAMB site, you can go ahead to print your original JAMB result slip by selecting your exam year (2023 ) and filling in your ‘JAMB Registration Number’ in the required fields.
- View your result: If you’ve entered your details correctly, you’ll be taken to a page that shows your JAMB result. The result will include your name, JAMB registration number, score, and other important details.
- Print your original JAMB result: To print your JAMB result, you need to click on the “Print Result” button. This will open a new tab that displays your result in a printable format. You can print the result directly from your browser or save it as a PDF file and print it later.You can also request it to be sent to your email.
Mmesoma’s father, Mr. Romanus who also spoke on Channels TV’s sunrise daily said that he didn’t go with her to the a business cafe to print out the results.
While speaking on the suspension by her over the forgery of result, Mmesoma said that the three-year ban instituted against her by JAMB was unfair.
“It’s not my fault that I printed my result like that and they said that I forged my result. It’s not my fault. So, them banning it is not fair,” she said.
Responding to the statements mad by JAMB spokesman that records indicated that she had sent a series of messages to the board’s automated telecoms system, she said the only SMS she sent to JAMB was through its support system.
And when asked if she got any feedback, she said, “They didn’t reply. If they check their JAMB Support System, they would see that I sent a text message. They didn’t reply.”
On the claim that she used an Airtel line, Mmesoma replied: “Yes,” but she added it was “not through USSD code”.
“The one I checked through the USSD code is the one of 360 (sic) that I saw,” she explained further.
Responding to the claim that the feedback from JAMB showed her score as 249, she agreed.
“Yes,” she said. “After all said and done, I now saw that I got 249. I sent them a text message there to know what really happened — the JAMB Support System. If they go to their system, they will see it there.”
Investogist reported on Tuesday that Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has banned Ejikeme Joy Mmesome from writing its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for three years over alleged forgery of her 2023 result.
The board also withdrew Mmesoma’s 2023 result which has stirred controversy. JAMB in a statement Tuesday morning insisted that Mmesoma forged the result, stating that it had stopped issuing Notification of Result slips after the 2021 UTME due to falsification of results.
