Here’s what Snoop Dogg meant when he said he was “giving up smoke”—he wasn’t really quitting smoking.

Recently, social media was rocked by American rapper Snoop Dogg’s announcement that he is “giving up” smoking.

The Young, Wild, and Free singer shared the following on social media last week: “After much thought and discussion with my family. It’s my decision to stop smoking. At this moment, please respect my privacy.

This sparked rumors about why Snoop, who is well-known for using marijuana in public, had finally made the decision to give it up permanently.

The 52-year-old rapper even began receiving praise from fans for his pursuit of sobriety. Snoop, nevertheless, just disclosed the true significance of his earlier communication.

The Drop it Like its Hot rapper clarified that everything was a part of an advertisement in a video that was posted on X, (former Twitter).

He stated, “I have an announcement, I’m givin’ up smoke.” “I know what you’re thinking: Snoop! Smoke is kind of your whole thing! But I’m done with it,” he added as he sat in the woods where crickets can be heard chirping in the background in the video.

The Gin and Juice rapper continued, “Done with the coughing and my clothes smelling all sticky icky. I’m going smokeless. Solo Stove fixed fire. They take out the smoke.” Towards the end of the video, Snoop can be seen roasting marshmallows on a smokeless fire pit.

The rapper’s latest endorsement, titled “Go smokeless with Snoop Dogg,” was made public on the Solo Stove fire pit company’s website on Monday, November 20. The Doggyland rapper said in a statement, “I love a good fire outside, but there was too much smoke.” Fire was put out and smoke was removed by Solo Stove. I can’t wait to share the love and remain warm with my loved ones now that they’ve changed the game.

John Merris, CEO of Solo Brands, stated in a statement, “We’re thrilled to have a product so amazing that it even motivated Snoop to give up smoking.”

According to Billboard, Merris continued, “Solo Stove is all about bringing people together and creating a mood that encourages you to sit back, relax, and enjoy your time with friends and family. It’s the most popular smokeless fire pit in the world. Like Solo, Snoop is all about happy times, and we can’t wait to add even more members to the Solo Stove family.
