#EndSARS Memorial: Police fire tear gas at protesters, arrest four

Four persons have been arrested at the Lekki Tollgate by the police in Lagos on Thursday.

The police fired teargas into the air prompting many protesters, onlookers and journalists to run for safety as the teargas saturated the air.

The police started firing the teargas when the protesters laid some coffins at the tollgate to round off their demonstration, Premium Times reported.

Those arrested who were identified as Ifeanyi, Olamide Raheemi, Samuel Ishola and one unidentified perso  were detained in a police van.

Nigerians including Nigerian artistes Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, Adebowale ‘ Mr Macaroni’ Adedayo and many others joined the solidarity walk to mark the second memorial of the Lekki shooting that took place at the tollgate during the #ENDSARS protest on October 20, 2020 as well as to honour those who lost their lives to police and military brutality.
