The Gunners needed to win their match against Brighton to close the gap at the top to 1 point, albeit having played a game more than the defending Champions, Manchester City.
Arsenal have just two fixtures left in the season, they face Nothingham Forest away on 20th may, and host Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates on the last game of the season on 28th May.
Manchester City on the other hand still has three games to play, they host Chelsea at the Etihad on 21st May, and then play Brighton away on 24th May. City’s last match will be away at Brentford, at which point they may have already won the league.
City will be crowned champions on Saturday if Arsenal lose away to Forest. They will make it three Premier League titles in a row at home to Chelsea on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium if they match Arsenal’s result.
